Meeting the Photographer!
I am Marisa (She/Her), I am a 28 year old photographer in Spokane, WA. I studied Photography and Journalism and graduated from SFCC and WSU.
Photography has been my passion since I was a teenager. My first spark of interest drove me to photographing my family and the world around me from an early age. I have been officially photographing for 10 years in a wide range of specialties.
My Journey
Imagine its the early 2000s and there is a young girl taking pictures of her family on vacation. She is discovering Film on a Canon camera from the ’90s and learning with intent and patience. Jump a little forward and she gets a small Vivitar digital camera as a gift. You know the ones that are small and simple and perfect for little kids. This girl starts taking pictures of everything from the trees to posing her family members for “fun little portrait photoshoots.” This spark of joy that grows as she does, and at the age of 16 she buys her first “professional” Nikon Camera and delves into the passion of her lifetime.

As I grew up, I had many hobbies and struggled to decide what to pursue for a career. Something that I did know, is that no matter what my life entailed, Photography was going to be a big part of it. After High School, I photographed portraits, infants, weddings, and so much more. So, when I got to college, I decided my education would include photography in tandem with journalism! I am continuing to follow that pursuit today, and I hope you join me in capturing memories that are perfect, silly, and momentous!
My Dream
My dream is to build a company and team that helps to document the special moments in life. I believe that the things we cherish the most are not only the big events in our life, but also the simple moments of pure joy. My goal is to help make your event, your wedding, or even just your experience in a photoshoot with me, something that you will never forget. And when you need to, my hope is that the photos will transport you back to enjoy that moment all over again.
Secondly, I want to create a company that offers to take things off your hands. Whether it is creating something beautiful for you to enjoy and share with friends, or completing your envelope writing and stationary for your event. Many of the planning tasks for events and weddings can be overwhelming. Especially when you are looking at a long list. I offer packages that attack those tasks for you, so you are not bogged down by all of the tedious and time consuming tasks.

Who is my Second Photographer?
Mandie Washington is contracted when an event is larger than Marisa can cover alone. All Weddings that are booked will automatically have a second photographer contracted.
Mandie (She/Her) is 24 years old from Spokane, WA. We have worked together many times over the years… and surprise, she is also my sister!!
She is compassionate and kind, while also quirky and fun. She has been modeling for many years and focusing more on photography for roughly the past 5 years.
Mandie married her husband Devin last year! She adds a unique perspective and help to our team, by sharing the steps of event planning that can be most strenuous in a short time. This allows us to help take away some of your stress!
